Pura Tanah Lot, one of Bali's most iconic temples, stands majestically on a rocky outcrop amid crashing waves of the Indian Ocean. The temple is believed to be protected by sea snakes and holds great spiritual significance in Balinese culture. During low tide, visitors can walk across to the base of the temple rock where holy water springs flow and blessings are given by local priests.
